What Do I Need To Do For My Charlotte Home Inspection?
                      Follow these simple steps:

Step 1:   Call 704-606-8333 for an appointment   OR Schedule an Appointment online
You will be asked several questions about the home to determine how much the inspection will cost, where the property is located, and when to schedule the actual inspection. You will also be asked for your contact info.

You are certainly welcome and encouraged to attend the inspection.  Follow me around and ask questions to get better acquainted with your new home.

Please note:  all utilities must be on and all pilots lit before the inspection.

A confirmation of the appointment will follow via an email.  In it will be instructions on how to access, read and sign the inspection agreement.  The States of NC & SC require that the agreement be read and signed before the agreement.

The cost of the inspection is based on the heated square footage,  the age of the home and whether it has a crawlspace or basement.  We are not the cheapest nor the most expensive but somewhere in the middle but we do feel we offer the best value.

Step 2:    Authorize the inspection.

call us to have a copy faxed to you.
Read and sign the inspection agreement. You can sign it online, faxit back to us or bring it with you and give it to John before the inspection begins.
See sample inspection agreement.

Step 3:  Payment

Payment is expected at the time of the inspection and before the report is presented. Credit cards, checks, money orders, or cash is accepted. You can pay online via a credit card right here on our website.

Click here to pay by credit card.

Step 4:     The Inspection

A typical inspection runs anywhere from 2½ to 4 hours depending on the size of the home.  You are welcome and encouraged to attend the inspection.  By attending the inspection, you can learn many things about your property and have any questions you have answered.   For a complete and thorough inspection all utilites must be on and all pilots must be lit.

Step 5:      Your  Report Get your report.
                 Get a sample report.
Your report will be available for viewing online within one business day of the inspection.
Reports are delivered electronically via the internet.  You will be sent an email containing your user id and password needed for viewing your secure report.
You will be able access your report as often as you want.  Only you and those you authorize will have access to your report.
A hardcopy of your report can be mailed upon request.

We welcome any questions that you may have about any part of the home inspection process.
